When we receive Jesus He wants to put the dimension of eternity into us here and now. He wants us to think, speak and act in the dimension of eternity. We should begin to do what we do with eternity in mind. Without the dimension of eternity we get no place, nothing worth having and nothing we can keep. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.Titus 2:12: Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Romans 6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.Philippians 2:12: Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.2 Timothy 4:7: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Romans 12:1: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Without the dimension of eternity everything is vanity (worthless). Read Ecclesiastes 1:2, 1:14, 2:19, 2:23, 3:19, 4:4, 4:16, 6:2, 6:12, 7:15, 9:9, 11:8 and 12:8.Needless to say, eternity is a better and more important dimension. |
